Although known for its high-speed transaction processing, Solana’s supposed centralization and repeated network disruptions have drawn criticism. Despite holding a significant place in the Layer 1 sector, Solana has faced continuous problems over the years, with major crashes occurring annually since 2021. Recently, a 5-hour outage on February 6th broke a year of uninterrupted service, leading to widespread disapproval and disappointment among industry experts. This Solana network reliability issue has also attracted negative feedback from notable figures such as Bitcoin advocate Max Keiser and Matthew Sigel, Head of Digital Assets at VanEck.
