Colin Murphy, a known associate of the notorious Canadian ‘Crypto King’ Aiden Pleterski, has been given a 5-month jail term for defying court orders in Oshawa, Ontario. This sentence follows Murphy’s refusal to surrender his iPhone and allegations of data deletion when a search warrant was executed. Amid the intensifying ‘Crypto King prison’ storyline, Murphy was sued by an investor alleging a loss of $120,000 given to Murphy for investment in Pleterski’s digital currency venture. Despite a court directive to sell $120,000 worth of his assets, which includes high-end cars and firearms, Murphy persistently denied having any money for reimbursement. Further fueling the ‘Crypto King prison’ plot, Pleterski himself is in a precarious situation, owing a staggering $40 million to 160 financiers following his failure to repay investment funds.
